European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Congress 2026: Dr Victoria Wing and Dr Tiago Costa
Fantastic work from our NCMD members, Dr Victoria Wing and Dr Tiago Costa, at the 39th European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ENCP) Congress 2026 in Munich this week.
Dr Victoria Wing (photo above) and Patricia van Casteren hosted the campfire session ‘From bench to voice: Advancing neuropsychopharmacology research through lived experience’
on Tuesday for the ENCP Congress. Dr Victoria Wing has been dedicated to embedding lived experience within several projects in Team Lithium. Co-production is a driver of more relevant, inclusive and impactful research. Through open discussion, participants shared practical examples of successful collaboration, reflected on the challenges of adopting more inclusive approaches, and considered what is needed to move beyond tokenism towards genuine co-production. Thank you both, for continuing to foster education in this essential and invaluable part of mental health research.
Dr Tiago Costa also moderated a fantastic ENCP education session “ECNP Neuromodulation Course Session – from mechanisms to clinical application”. Through expert input, live polling, and peer exchange, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of the mechanisms, clinical evidence, and application of techniques such as ECT, rTMS, and DBS. Well done, Tiago!
