What are SSRIs?
Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) are a group of antidepressant drugs that block the resorption of the neurotransmitter serotonin. Their effect is to prolong the action of serotonin in the brain. Used to treat depression, anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD and phobias.
