Real-world Gait & Movement as a biomarker in Bipolar Disorder: A feasibility Study
About the study:
This study is looking to understand if we can use small wearable sensors to measure the walking and movement of people with Bipolar Disorder. There is increasing evidence that people with Bipolar Disorder have differences in the way they move and walk, which may be due to changes in the structure of people's brains.
What does the study involve?
- We are hoping to recruit 15 people with Bipolar Disorder and 15 people with no mental health difficulties. They will visit the research team for one appointment and following this will wear 2 small sensors for 7 days at home.
- We can offer a £50 voucher as a thank you for taking part as well as to cover reasonable travel expenses.
