New Publication: Exploring resident doctors’ experience, attitudes, perceptions and beliefs about the serious incident investigatory process within mental health settings
Congratulations to members of NCMD Dr Stuart Watson and Dr Iain McKinnon on their latest publication: Exploring resident doctors’ experience, attitudes, perceptions and beliefs about the serious incident investigatory process within mental health settings.
In this paper, NCMD colleagues explore psychiatrists' experiences of serious incident investigations through thematic analysis, revealing three overarching themes: When the process becomes the experience, From theory to practice (when training meets reality), and The emotional undercurrents (trauma, grief and support).
