This weeks seminar welcomed Liam Ennis, clinical psychologist on an acute inpatient mental health unit in Derbyshire. Liam is currently completing an NIHR doctoral fellowship investigating crisis care pathways for people with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder.

This weeks seminar 'Crisis Care Pathways for Borderline Personality Disorder' explored how people with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder often use crisis care services such as crisis resolution teams, inpatient wards, and mental health liaison teams. However, outcomes are typically poor, as is the experience of service users, their relatives and staff. In this talk Liam summarised evidence from a systematic review of models of crisis care, and reflected on how current practice aligns with research evidence.

Thank you to Liam for delivering such an interesting seminar this week!
