NCMD Seminar Presents 'Caripirazine in the acute treatment of unipolar and bipolar depression: a systematic review and meta-analysis'
For our last NCMD seminar of the term, we were delighted that Dr Luis Cunha could join us from Lisbon to deliver a presentation on 'Caripirazine in the acute treatment of unipolar and bipolar depression: a systematic review and meta-analysis'.
Luis works with the Department of Mental Health at the Amadora/Sintra Local Health Unit, located in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. Most of his time is dedicated to a community mental health team.
He presented a comprehensive overview of the paper, including the rationale, receptor action, methods, outcomes measures and overall findings. The review includes 9 randomised controlled trials written in either English, Portuguese or Spanish, aggregating to a sample of N=4898.
