NCMD members present at the Royal College of Psychiatrists Resident Conference 2026

Two NCMD early career researchers, Vicky Wing (ST4 and NIHR Clinical Lecturer) and Jen Burgess (ST5 and PhD student), were invited to talk about research at the Royal College of Psychiatrists Resident Conference 2026 held on Friday the 1st of May in Newcastle.

• The sessions explored the benefits of engaging in research as a resident doctor and how to align opportunities with individual interests and career goals. It also outlined practical pathways for involvement in research at every stage of training and aligned this with the RCPsych core and specialist curricula.
• The worskshops were well received by attendees and generated much discussion and enthusiasm.
