Collaboratively Augmenting Longitudinal Monitoring (CALM)

Young people with Early Onset Bipolar Disorder attending the National Adolescent Bipolar Service (ABS) were encouraged to chart their mood, medication adherence, and sleep using pen and paper “mood charts”, but completion rates were low (less than 30%). Feedback from the young people was that an App would be more useful. Given the rapid uptake of Digital Health Technology in the NHS, there was a service need.

The alpha prototype App to measure mood was produced over 12 workshops exploring co-design and co-production and subsequently evaluated. Following feedback from young people, we are in the process of further developments with the aim of evaluating the usability and acceptability of this being rolled out across NHS services.

More information coming soon… keep checking for further developments!
