NCMD Seminar Presents The Synaptic Theory of Schizophrenia: a Neuroimaging Enquiry

Synpase

This week, Dr Bernard Bukala, Clinical Research Fellow and PhD student at King's College London, delivered our NCMD seminar programme with a fascinating presentation on current research happening at his lab within the Psychiatric Imaging Group. He is involved in clinical studies focusing on synaptic connectivity, neuroinflammation and neurological complications in psychosis. Participants are enrolled on trials that involve pharmacological interventions, neurological imaging in the form of MRI, MEG and PET, and also biomarker monitoring.

Thank you to Dr Bukala for leading this seminar.

The NCMD seminar programme is open to all University and NHS based clinicians and academics interested in research and the treatment of mood disorders and related conditions. The seminars are held online via Microsoft Teams on Friday lunchtimes 12-1pm, but will now run weekly during term-time. A recurring calendar invite will be sent, as well as a weekly reminder email with the upcoming agenda.
