The Fifth NCMD Annual Mood Disorders Meeting is aimed at all those who are interested in mood disorders, including psychiatrists (especially consultants, associate specialists, and senior trainees), nurses, and pharmacists. The meeting brings together NCMD research activity and clinical practice to provide clinicians with an update of the CURRENT use and availability of different treatments.
The day will start with talks related to the burden and risks associated with mood disorders. It is a great pleasure to welcome our keynote speaker, Dr Ute Lewitzka from Dresden, who is an expert in suicide research. The concluding presentation will provide an overview of a new international consensus regarding how we should think about managing difficult to treat mood disorders. The focus of the meeting is very much on the ‘coal face’ of how to manage patients, providing high quality CPD of relevance to clinicians.
