Second Annual Mood Disorders Meeting

The Northern Centre for Mood Disorders (NCMD) is a venture between Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle University which aims to improve clinical care in depression and bipolar disorder through research.

On the 10th February, NCMD hosted the second Annual Continuing Professional Development meeting for psychiatrists and other health care professionals. The programme [hyperlink to this] included key note talks from Dr Peter Talbot from Manchester along with Dr Cousins, Dr Currie, Prof Ferrier and Dr McAllister-Williams from NCMD. The programme also included three brief research presentations (Dr Watson, Dr Robinson and Ms Flowers) and a couple of clinically orientated talks (Drs Stageman and Emechebe).
